PEB and industrial structures: connecting the building to the project
Pre-engineered buildings go up quickly, but only when foundations, steel and services are coordinated.

1. Fix the building requirements early
Span, height, crane needs and roof loads form the basis of the PEB design. Changes after the design is released affect cost and delivery time.
2. Align the foundations
Foundation layouts and anchor bolt positions must match the PEB drawings exactly. Coordinate the civil and steel packages together.

3. Plan roofing, cladding and openings
Doors, louvres, skylights and cladding details should be agreed before fabrication. Weather-tightness depends on clear details.
4. Make room for the services
Allow for supports, cable trays, ducts and pipes in the structural design. Late additions can overload members.
5. Sequence erection and finishing
Erection, flooring and services follow a logical order. A clear programme helps all teams work without delays.
